Mission & Vision

We would like to clarifying the aims, rules and objectives of our Sport2Business society in 2014.
The society aims to achieve the following:
  • COMPETITIVE: Create a regular, competitive, multicultural golf society (handicap limit men 24 / women 28) with it's own handicap system that aims to spread the rewards (ie winners get cut and strugglers get shots back)
  • EASY TO USE: Make the society inexpensive and easy to use so if you are in town and available you can play, but no need to commit to play every week. There are no fees to be a member but once you commit to play, you have to play, replace yourself or pay the green fee.
  • RESPECTFUL NETWORKING: Add an ongoing element of professional networking to the society where members stay around in the comfortable M bar to discuss golf, business and life. We do not want any business presentations but we do embrace moderate sponsorship should people want to create an awareness within the society of their personal and company expertise
  • SOCIAL ROLLUP: Maintain a set of values within the society based on respect both for each other and the rules of golf, friendliness to welcome all newcomers, overseas visitors etc and openness to play with anyone within the society and not just your chosen golf buddies
  • CHARITY: We will support a charity with any surplus funds and aim to support a named charity. Suggestions welcome
CONFIRMING ATTENDANCE:

Russell needs a firm commitment by the Sunday prior by 1 pm at the latest – any late cancellations may result in having to pay the green fee as we still get the charge, unless you find a suitable replacement.
Russell commits to run the eclectic competitions on Monday's at the Faldo & at the Meydan once a month (for a change), as well as a weekend tournament on different courses every 2 months or so. All we ask from you is that you respond to our weekly emails, be clear about when you can and cannot play and honour the spirit of the society. As long as we keep our weekly numbers over 12 we will continue to enjoy society rates.
